Chanting, in history, is a sacred way of unifying a community. It was also used as a spiritual encouragement to the early people. Traditionally, it is a vital aspect of Hatha Yoga.

Yoga classes practice chanting to achieve what is called a “common vibration.” The syllable “om,” which you might be familiar with, is a common chant in many yoga classes.
